One Word Resolution

Heather Meyers gave me the idea for a one-word resolution to use as a new-years resolution. I decided on this word because a certain prayer of mine was answered with the incentive to read Deuteronomy chapter 6. Ever had one of those days when you think He's not hearing you when you pray, especially when you've prayed something over and over...... and over? Me too. 'Tis a lesson you should heed. Try, try again. :) Anyway, I've decided that my one-word resolution, taken from Duet. 6:17-18, shall henceforth be, until I chose a word for 2013....

. . . . .____________. . . . .

. . . . ._____________. . . .

In essence, my new years resolution is to finish everything that I start, to diligently guard Torah, to be constant in my love, to be patient with those around me, keep forgiving, keep praying, keep hoping,...

So there you have it! Viola!

"diligently guard the commands of YHVH your Elohim and His witnesses, and His laws which He has commanded you. and you shall do what is right in the eyes of YHVH, that it might be well with you...."

For Jerusalem!

Rahel

PS: Just so you know, this is my favorite song (for today, that is. Tomorrow it'll probably change....)

I love that idea. I did that last year, my word was "Simplify". But I love this word (actually that is what my name means in Hebrew), and it amazes me that you could be even MORE diligent than you are already are! I can learn so much from you. Diligence and Committment are so vital, yet so rare today. This is particulary one thing I am weak in, I admit. It takes determination and resolve to finish something you start, to be faithful. Let me just say that you are a prestine example of what it means to be diligent. Keep it up!
