Great Aunt March's Companion....

Dear Friends,
    Thank you for your patience concerning my lack of blogging. I now present the promised page depicting my recent adventure of taking on dear Great Aunt March. Well... ok... to be fair, she's not exactly my great aunt, (even if we do tell that to the pharmacist when picking up her prescriptions). I dont remember her ever having the last name of "March", but she is dear most of the time, and to her I'm much like a "makeshift" great niece. She is remains as my pretend great aunt all year long, including, but not limited to, the month of March.

tete-a-tete.... bla bla bla.... and on we go!

Its been three weeks since assuming this new role. Long enough to accomplish a great deal.  For each of the nearly 70 years between us, there seems to be a new lesson..... like:

-how to go to bed at midnight EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!!!! whoooopie! (not)

-how to surprise someone by making dutch-babies before they wake up in the morning

-how to plant flowers ...........properly

-how to say "I love you" in Latvian...... (fyi, it is Esteva-Meelu...)

-how to refill a prescription....

-how to LOVE beyond your feelings for a person

-and how to serve with a smile instead of a snarl (oooh, hard one. trickier than algebra!!)

But for each of the 70 years between us, there is also a lesson on learning to forgive. The most important lesson of all, right? Seventy times seven.... That must be the reason that YHVH wont let me quit the job. Either that or He has read my post on DILIGENCE.... just kidding.

I suppose the stage has been set and we can't switch characters this late in the production!!! But guess what the good news is? Im getting married in 84 days.... Then I'll switch from being a companion/caregiver/denture-cleaner to a help-meet for the wonderful man that Great Aunt March says is SO handsome....

I quite agree. and i'm thankful for his support during this strange season....
